Neutrality – To always have the trust of all parties, the Movement does not take sides in conflicts or participate in political, ethnic, religious or ideological debates.
Independence – The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is completely independent. National Red Cross or Red Crescent Societies, while assisting the Government with humanitarian activities, must comply with the laws of their State and must always maintain their autonomy to be able to act at all times. movement in accordance with the principles of the Movement.
Voluntary – The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is a voluntary aid movement, not motivated by any desire to make a profit.
Unity – In each country, there is only one Red Cross or Red Crescent Society. These national Red Cross or Red Crescent Societies must be open to everyone. The Association carries out its humanitarian mission throughout the territory.
Global – The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has a global reach, with all national Red Cross or Red Crescent Societies having equal status and status, sharing responsibilities and equal duty to help each other.
